Four countries were represented among the final nine players and included notables Dan Fleyshman, Daniel Steinberg, Nicolas Levi, and Roland de Wolfe. However, it would be James Bord emerging victorious to be the first Englishman to keep the title on home soil as he collected the £830,401 first-place prize and title of WSOP Europe champion.
