The 2011 WSOP would be the year that Jake Cody, Eugene Katchalov, Jason Somerville, Bertrand Grospellier, John Monnette, Ben Lamb, and Andy Frankenberger all won their first bracelet. Brian Rast would win his first and second WSOP bracelet, but it would be Lamb earning 2011 WSOP Player of the Year honors on the back of his bracelet and a fifth-place finish in the Main Event.
