The biggest WSOP Main Event field to date saw 8,773 players create a prize pool in excess of $82.5 million in the 2006 WSOP Main Event. The final table included established pros Allen Cunningham and Michael Binger, but it would be Jamie Gold winning the biggest prize in Main Event history when he won his first WSOP bracelet along with the $12 million first-place prize.
