The 831-entrant field created a $1.14 million prize pool in the first $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em event of the 2004 WSOP. Poker author Blair Rodman, and tournament regulars Joe Awada, Scott Epstein, and Kent Washington held seats at the final table, along with "The Crew" member Scott Fischman as the $300,000 first-place prize was up for grabs.
