The inaugural Caesars Cup from the 2009 WSOP Europe sees Europe battle the Americas in a best-of-seven series of doubles and heads-up matches. Europe is captained by Annette Obrestad as the team is made up of Patrik Antonius, Peter Eastgate, Bertrand Grospellier, Gus Hansen, John Harvey, Dario Minieri, and Ilari Sahamies. While the Americas is captained by Daniel Negreanu and includes Doyle Brunson, Barry Greenstein, Jennifer Harman, Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, John Juanda, and Huck Seed.
